The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) guides the development of our curriculum and is woven through the policies, procedures and practices at BRECC. Our program is emergent and based on the current strengths, needs and interests of individual children and the group. We recognise families as the child’s first and most important Educators and seek to work in partnership with them during the development of our programs.
Our programs acknowledge the importance of play and provide opportunities for positive growth by engaging in different forms of play including discovery, physical, creative, imaginative, manipulative and social.
BRECC recognises the importance of communication with families and staff employ a range of methods to share moments from the day. A daily journal is developed by the educators and emailed to families each day. It is also on display in the room for families who do not have access to email. The daily journal acts as our written program, with supporting observations and documentation stored confidentially in a file for each child.
